This loop starts at our house and is like a photo album of Podlasie. Across the fields you reach the small town of Narew and cross the river. Then Trześcianka, where there are so many shutters that it is hard to choose which to photograph. Next Soce, tucked away behind a bend, with its houses in an even row, and finally Puchły with its colourful Orthodox church. You return through the meadows of the Narew valley, home for supper.

The route step by step

  1. Klejniki

    Ride out north-east, towards Narew.

  2. Narew

Shop and Orthodox churches. Across the bridge over the Narew you enter the Land of Open Shutters.

  3. Trześcianka

The heart of the Land. Take a walk along the main street.

  4. Soce

A short detour through the village. The prettiest shots are from the little bridge over the stream.

  5. Puchły

The last of the three villages. Stop by the Orthodox church, then ride back to Klejniki via Narew.
